When Irish Eyes Are Haunting A Krewe of Hunters Novella edition by Heather Graham Paranormal Romance eBooks
There's a lot that's good in this novela. Heather Graham is both a good writer and a good story teller - not necessarily the same thing. But I kept getting thrown out of the proper reader's state of suspension of disbelief by really glaring errors in basic fact. For example, she states that Scotland is West of Ireland! Then she calls a lunar eclipse a solar eclipse and later calls it a solar eclipse of the moon. For goodness sakes, the latter would require the sun to pass between the Earth and the moon. Basic astronomy and physics - a solar eclipse is when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, temporarily blocking it from view from Earth. A lunar Eclipse is when the Earth passes between the sun and the moon, blocking sunlight from being reflected off the moon back to the viewer on Earth.
Any fifth grader call tell you that, my apologies to Jeff Foxworthy.
I know, the book isn't about that. But that sort of blatant errors lose readers. Which would be a real shame in the case of Heather Graham.

When Irish Eyes Are Haunting A Krewe of Hunters Novella edition by Heather Graham Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
Since I have read all of the Krewe of Hunters books I anxiously await each new one and was not disappointed in this one. The rather tangled mysteries with both romance and paranormal thrown in.. make for a very fun read. In fact they have kept me reading into the wee hours more often than I care to admit. I just love the "ghosts"...They are all "good people" I read for entertainment and Heather Graham does that very well.
Another great mystery with a spell binding story
line. Love the historical part in the mystery. Great
characters and lots of twists. A great read for a
single setting. Riveting from beginning to end.
Heather Graham's KH are always a good read. I have read a lot of them and never been disappointed. It was fun to take a "tour" of Ireland and a real house. You always seem to learn something new in her books. Sexual content? The main couple were newly weds on their honeymoon! But nothing real graphic. Didn't have a lot of time for that as they looked for a killer and tried to save the rest of the family, and the "who-done-it).
Glad to be able to see what has happened to Rocky and Devlin. While other members of the Krewe have appeared in subsequent books, these two have not. This novella format provides a different take on the Krewe of Hunters series. You learn a little more of the personal aspect of Rocky and Devlin's relationship beyond the sixth sense and their FBI work. The culprits were not the ones I expected and in fact they were not even on my radar. It was also nice to see Kat and Will are still together.
Did download a different novella to my ? Different from the one all these other reviewers received? My indicated that I made it to the 15% mark. Honestly, I couldn't go any further. Paragraphs and paragraphs of telling me stuff, but absolutely no action and very minimal dialogue and most of it about inconsequential things that didn't add a thing to the story. This may not be a good example of this author's writing but it's the one (translate that to "the last one") I'll probably buy.
This is a short. If you enjoy reading about the Krewe of Hunters books, this is a spin off. It is not in the main part of the series, it is not formatted like the stories, but you do get a few of the main characters. It is short, so no long mystery. There is no romance because the couples are already together. It is just a small side story to the bigger part. If I were to go back in time, I would gladly pay a few dollars for this story again.
When Irish Eyes Are Haunting is story number 14.5 in author Heather Graham’s Krewe of Hunter Series as well as the second release in this year’s 1,001 Dark Nights collection. I am a huge fan of the Krewe of Hunters and was thrilled to read more of one of my favorite couples thus far; Devin and Craig. Like a warm visit with old friends, this story was immensely enjoyable and filled with mystery and folk-lore. I loved it!
Newlyweds, and Krewe of Hunter members, Devin Lyle and Craig Rockwell should be enjoying the beautiful rolling hills of Ireland on their honeymoon. Instead, they are here for an untimely death in Devin’s family which leads to quite an investigation involving the tale of a banshee and her wail. Could that be responsible for her relative’s death? Now, if anyone could believe in such a tale, it’s Devin and Rocky and their ghost-seeing abilities, but they also know there is most likely something else behind this mystery. Could it be someone was looking to kill off the rightful heirs to the family castle and estate and claim it as their own? Certainly a ghostly apparition wouldn’t gain from material possessions. Putting their honeymoon romance on hold a bit, Devin and Rocky start off on a mission to solve this deadly mystery…banshees or not.
As only author Heather Graham can do, this story was weaved with mystery and supernatural lore that had me glued to every page from start to finish. Devin and Rocky arrive in Ireland and the reader is immediately taken into their world, with breathtaking descriptions of the castle and surrounding land, I felt as though I was in the story with them. Along with that, the characters are rich and intriguing. From Gary the ghost tour guide, to Devin’s family members, these characters were entertaining and enjoyable. Of course, the mystery surrounding the castle was fantastic. The introduction of a prophecy had me wondering if there was a curse on the land and the family or if there was nothing supernatural at work at all, just a greedy person wanting what they felt they deserved. Now, I won’t give anything away but be prepared for a thrilling ride and quite a twist at the end!
A suspenseful paranormal murder mystery with a dash of romance, When Irish Eyes Are Haunting is a must read for fans of all different genres and I highly recommend. Thank you, Ms. Graham, for another wonderful visit with the Krewe of Hunters gang!
