I am writing these last 5 reviews of this series all together because i went ahead buying book 3-7, i am not sad that i did buy them all but i am truly shocked how they did change, the writing change, language, it all changed it is like they were written by a totally different author, shocked is how i felt??! (best way i can describe it is how i felt when Faith Hill's music changed, if you have ever listened to her beginning albums, she was so great, but then hollywood came in and changed her style, her hair, her voice ... not that i don't appreciate her new style but she has lost a lot of herself. same with Carrie Underwood, the girl next door, she is gone ... i wish artists, authors, they all would remember where they came from, keep it ... i mean change is normal ...but don't lose who u r. a lot fo folks loved that person, u know??!) ... i enjoyed book 1 &2 so much ... for a person who has read them all now i can say what the heck ...that was a 180 turn (twist, whatever u wanna call it??!) not to the point i would quit reading the series ...but the lady who did write book 1 & 2 ... totally changed in book 3 through 7??! language changed, harsher ways throughout ... romance and all. now don't get me wrong ...but for a person who read all sorts of romance and MC romances ...it was wild to see ... i wonder who did tell the author or was it her editor or what who recommended a change?? i was so happy with the way it was ... it was fun to see an author taking a more tamer way ... but i guess others prefer it .... my favorite biker is James (Spider) but that is always how it works ... one part is how these future books jump around ... from story to story ... even though u see the name at the top of the chapter ... hope your brain and jump as fast as the author does??! follow along??! I appreciate how the ladies of the MC bikers do group together a lot ... ladies need to stick together more.

This is Book 4 in the Angel's Halo MC series. This book is about Jet and Felicity or Flick. I absolutely loved it!!!!

We learn a little bit about Jet and Flick's story in Book 1 of the series. In flashbacks we learn that Jet and Flick were together and then he pushes her away not believing he was good enough for her. She finds out that she is pregnant and informs Jet. The VP of the MC at the time beats her almost to death and in doing so she suffers a miscarriage. Jet finds him and beats him to death for what he did to Flick and their baby and goes to prison. The jury however was extremely sympathetic with why he beat him to death and so he does not get much time and they decide that the time he served while awaiting his trial should count toward the sentence so he does not have to be in prison for too long. Flick meanwhile as you saw if you read Book 1 decides to leave when it is almost time for Jet to come home because she is not dealing with things too well and goes to become a nanny for Emmie and Nik Armstrong (of Terri Anne Browning's Rocker series another series that I am totally in love with). Back in the present Jet's parole is up and he plans on going to bring Flick home once his parole officer brings him all of the paperwork that releases him. Flick has no idea that Jet even knows where she is or that she is coming to get her. There are instances in this book when I wanted to smack the ever loving crap out of the back of Jet's head because he was being a jerk in the way he was going about getting Flick to come home and to stay with him. I still love him though because I know why he is acting that way and because in the end he makes up for acting like a jerk.

This book technically can be read as a stand alone because of the central story of Jet and Flick's HEA. I still believe as I have with the previous books in the series, that it should be read after the others in the series if you are able to get all of the books. Jet and Flick's story is retold with more depth in this book so if you have not read the others you can follow along. I think though that you miss out on seeing how the other characters came together if you do not read the other books in the series. Also as with the previous books there are other storylines that run through this book, but you can still follow along if you have not read Books 1-3. I loved this book as much as the previous 3 in the series. I love the Angel's Halo family and recommend this (and the three previous books if you can get them all) as a MUST read!!!!
I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked this book when we were getting the story from everyone else's POV. Unfortunately whenever we got Jet and Felicity's POV it took an extreme turn south. Felicity (Flick) seemed like a very shallow character, who even though she should have; there wasn't any really good depth. There was so much that happened to her, that I was really wanting to see this really great inner strength come from her; but instead she just seemed like a teenager not getting her way. I really wasn't able to connect with Jet at all, he didn't feel like a really well developed character. I loved the scene between Gracie and Trigger, and of course I enjoyed seeing the Demons characters again.

I really like Jet’s character, even though he was a jerk, he did do things that redeemed himself from his actions. He beat Flick’s attacker to death which got him sent to prison. Then he pulled off a hit, on a man in prison, for Flick. And for Flick’s part, I don’t blame her for running away. She needed some peace from all of the memories that “home” held for her. But things were hard because she did love Jet and missed her best friend Raven.

I was so looking forward to this book, for quite some time, but the book just didn’t live up to what I wanted. There were times I rolled my eyes so much, when I had to suspend all of reality and common sense knowledge of crime scene & police procedure, that I just couldn’t do it. There’s no way that she would know that much club business, especially in such great detail, or that someone as hardened as Jet would openly talk to her about stuff that was supposed to be club secrets. Then she knows the connecting side of the business way to well and she’s actually the reason for a partnership. She’s not even related to the boss. There were other things that got on my nerves, but might be too spoiler-ish.

Though this book was a miss for me, the writing was good, and I plan to follow this series.
